Enrollment Procedures
Thank you for your interest in Learn A Lot Academy. Choosing a quality child care program is one of the most important decisions you will make. We take your decision seriously and are committed to living up to the important responsibility of caring for your child.
Enrollment in Learn A Lot Academy is open to all children ages birth to five years, regardless of race, gender, color, religion, political persuasion, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or sexual orientation. Learn A Lot also offers summer camp and before/after school service for elementary students between the ages of 6-12.
Enrollment Step 1: Check Availability
If you are interested in enrolling your child in Learn A Lot Academy, please check to see which openings are available. If there are no openings available, please add your name to the wait list. We will contact you as soon as an opening becomes available.
Enrollment Step 2: Tour
Learn A Lot invites families looking for child care to schedule a tour of our facilities. A tour will allow you to see all of the spaces where your child will play and learn each day. By visiting the center, you will get the best feel for whether the atmosphere is a good fit for your family. All families have different needs, but here is a guide that has been put together by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) that shows what every family should look for in a quality child care program.
Tours are offered by appointment during established office hours. To schedule an appointment, please call 816.353.1942.
Enrollment Step 3: Enrollment Packet
After meeting with Learn A Lot staff and agreeing on determined child care, the child(re)n will be accepted into Learn A Lot Academy on a 2 week trial basis. After such time we will review this arrangement to see if there are any changes that need to be made. We will also determine if this is the best placement for your child(ren).
The parent/guardian must complete an enrollment packet, which includes:

Parents (mother, father or both) are required to schedule a site visit with the director and/or family advocate. The child, accompanied by an adult, will be required to visit with his/her class prior to his/her first day of school. If you feel that the transition will be difficult for your child we recommend that you schedule a couple of short visits prior to leaving your child for the first time.
