Dear Parents,

I hope that everyone is feeling well during this time of health crises in our community. Due to the “Stay At Home” ordinance, the growing number of COVID 19 cases in our community, and consequently, low attendance, Learn A Lot Academy will extend its closing until April 30th, 2020.

Attached, you will find a list of childcare providers who are offering childcare services at this time. While, Learn A Lot would hate to lose any of our families to another program after this is over, we do not want to leave those of you who absolutely need care without options.

For those who may not be aware, childcare centers can only provide care for families of “Essential Workers.” All other families are required to follow the “Stay at Home” order. The state will monitor centers to ensure compliance. Parents will have to provide evidence of essential work.

For the health, safety and welfare of our children and staff over 60,  and others in the high-risk categories for this disease, Learn A Lot feels that extending our closing is the most responsible thing to do. We hope that our families will support and understand our position, and hope that you will rejoin us once this time of uncertainty in our community is over. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at: tgivens@learnalotacademy.org. Be safe and stay well.

Sincerely,

Teresa Givens
